On-site Consultations

On-site consultations are the starting point for proper pond management. Bay Area Land Management offers consultation services throughout the state of Wisconsin with a focus more in the northeastern part of Wisconsin. Our on-site consultation services includes an inspection of vegetation growth such as cattails, grasses, buckhorn, swamp willow, etc. We take a look at all the inlets, outlets, overflow areas. As well as animal burrows from muskrats. A main focus is erosion on embankments and along the shoreline or waters edge. This is the most common area for erosion. We stay on-site to answer any questions our clients may have.

Inspection Document

Once we gather all the information from the condition of the pond, we complete an inspection document. Any issues with the pond will be noted and estimates will be provided to remedy issues. We also offer recommendations and pricing on pond maintenance such as bi-annual mowings and spot spraying for woody vegetation. If you received a letter requiring an inspection, this inspection document is proof you took action and had an inspection. Inspections can be done monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annually.

FAQ’s

Do consolations cost money?

Yes. We currently have an hourly rate fee. Please contact us for pricing and availability.

What is not included in the inspection document?

Our inspection includes everything around the pond, cattail removal up to dredging. We do not perform any water testing, allege or muck tablets, water dying, lights or fountain services. If this is needed or wanted we do have qualified contractors we work that specialize in water treatment.

I received a letter from my municipality to correct issues with my pond. Do I still need a consultation or can you just fix the issues?

Yes, a consolation is still needed. We need to establish a baseline of current condition and formulate a management plan and estimate for repairs. The consult will also give you the final inspection document to prove you had an inspection and the work was completed.
